One of the more interesting features of EIP is that it supports the validation of other election systems by attaching what we call "side cars" to the target systems or processes.

Here we will describe the process for validation by

  1. Attaching an EIP Sidecar to a hand count process

  2. Attaching an EIP Sidecar to a Vendor Machine (a scanner or even an entire other election system)
